1. Determine undertone – The Beauty Advisor placed the iMatch™ shade tool against Marketa’s jaw line to find her unique skin tone. The tool has several colours representing warm, cool and neutral undertones. The colour block that appears to disappear against Marketa’s skin is her unique skin tone. According to the iMatch™ shade tool Marketa’s skin tone is warm, so foundation shades with a hint of golden or olive colour best compliment her complexion.
2. Find shade – The iMatch™ shade tool also features six levels of shades from light to dark. Again the colour block that seems to disappear against her skin is the unique skin tone. Marketa is identified to have warm undertone, shade level 3.
3. Find formula – Marketa works in a busy retail environment and ideally wants her foundation to last all day without touch ups. The Beauty Advisor showed her a menu of 13 different foundation formulas from the iMatch™ foundation system, and recommended Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF15 in Intensity 3.0. ‘The iMatch™ system was really easy to understand and explained why I need a certain tone for my complexion,’ said Marketa.
4. Concealer and finish – The Beauty Advisor then dabbed some of Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer SPF10 around Marketa’s nose and under the eyes to hide redness and dark circles, then finished with Estée Lauder’s signature 2-minute colour touch up. The end result? Marketa was very impressed, ‘I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup but I feel that I look much more energetic and radiant with this foundation, a bit of neutral eyeshadow and lipstick. The right shade of foundation really makes a difference to how I look - I look great and feel great!’
