1. Determine undertone – The Beauty Advisor placed the iMatch™ shade tool against Sarah’s jaw line to find her unique skin tone. The tool has several colours representing warm, cool and neutral undertones. The colour block that seems to disappear against Sarah’s skin is her unique skin tone. According to the iMatch™ shade tool her skin tone is cool, so foundation shades with a hint of pink or rosy colour best compliment Sarah’s complexion.
2. Find shade – The iMatch™ shade tool also features six levels of shades from light to dark. Again the colour block that seems to disappear against Sarah’s skin is her unique shade. Her result suggests her perfect shade is cool undertone, shade level 1.
3. Find formula – At Estée Lauder there is a range of 13 different foundation formulas to choose from. To help decide which formula was best for Sarah, the Beauty Advisor asked Sarah about her lifestyle, skin concern and foundation preferences. Sarah wanted a flawless look that would last all day but also wanted something that is sheer and allows her skin to breathe. The Beauty Advisor recommended Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF15 in Intensity 1.0 as her perfect foundation.
4. Concealer and finish – The Beauty Advisor then dabbed a little of Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer on Sarah’s blemishes and a light dust of powder on the t-zone. ‘The result was amazing,’ commented Sarah, ‘I couldn’t stop looking in the mirror at my new flawless skin.
